A few days ago I was discussing with a friend how I’d given the novel I’ve been conceptualizing for the last year a fresh start by writing in first person as my main character. This has helped me to move the plot along and get more words onto the page — and most importantly has snagged my interest in something beyond that “well, I’ll just think about this for a few years”
